Lucipac Pen for Endoscope 40 cm, Ø 2,8 mm    Product

LuciPac LS2.8-400 is a kit for testing cleanliness levels mainly for canalicular objects using bioluminescence techniques using firefly luciferase developed with Kikkoman's unique biotechnology. This kit contains long stem swabs suitable for swabbing inside of the channels of medical endoscopes and of filling nozzles in beverage industry, which have not been accessible by LuciPac Pen and/or other ATP swab test kits.Size of the long stem swab: Cotton bud 2.8mmØ and stem length400 mm. Firefly luciferase emits light in the presence of ATP and luciferin. The AMP produced from this reaction is converted back into ATP using PPDK to enable a high but stable amount of luminescence to be obtained. ATP is a source of energy necessary for various forms of life that is present in organic residues, such as microorganisms, food residue, and biological substances that originate from other living organisms. This method allows you to measure and detect organic This kit can be used to test cleanliness levels using a swab test. Do not use this device for any purpose other than what it was designed for as a tester of cleanliness levels. Please be aware that this kit cannot be used to test or measure for counts of viable bacteria or more specific types of pathogenic bacteria. This kit is used to indicate cleanliness levels in food production centers and medical treatment facilities. This kit shall not provide any guarantee that a given test environment is free of bacterial contamination. This kit cannot be used to test food or food products directly. This kit is not a medical device.

How to use
Remove the LuciPac Pen-AQUA from refrigerator, and wait until they have reached room temperature (see Table 2).Use them as soon as possible once they have returned to room temperature. Wear lab gloves to prevent contamination and take out the long stem swab carefully so as to not to touch the parts as this may affect the cleanliness level from the end of the stem of the individual package. If running the measurement test on a dry surface, first moisten the cotton bud or the test subject with tap water. Please avoid using saline solution instead of water. Handle the long stem swab with care so as to not to touch the parts as this may affect the cleanliness level.Insert the long stem swab in the canalicular object to be tested, and wipe it off as long as the length of the long stem swab reaches, and pull the swab up slowly. Hold the long stem swab at 12 cm or 13 cm distant point from the cotton bud, and remove the sampling stick from the main body (casing) of the LuciPac Pen-AQUA by your free fingers.Handle the sampling stick with care so as to not to touch the parts as this may affect the cleanliness level. Insert the long stem swab in the main body (casing) of the LuciPac Pen-AQUA to push and break the center of the upper seal of the container for releasing reagent. Be careful not to break bottom seal of the container for releasing reagent. Wash the cotton bud in the releasing reagent. Remove the long stem swab after thoroughly washing the cotton bud in the releasing reagent. Return the sampling stick to the main body (casing) and push it all the way into the main body (casing). Hold firmly onto the LuciPac Pen-AQUA casing and shake it. Allow leftover luminescent reagent to throughly dissolve. Insert the LuciPac Pen-AQUA into the Lumitester and close the Lumitester measurement chamber cover.
